BB cream.

I was in Tesco in Newbridge last night. They had a lot of beauty offers on.

I saw the new Garnier BB cream Miracle Skin Protector.
It was only €9.99.
So I thought I'd give it a go.

It claims to:
1. Even skin tone & boost glow
2. Blur imperfections
3. Smooth fine lines
4. 24 hour hydration
5. Have an SPF of 15 UV protection
6. Have vitamin C & mineral pigments

I put it on one half of my face when I came home, just to see what it's like in comparison to my natural makeup free face.

I was very surprised, I thought it was too dark for me until it adjusted to my skin. It gave me a fabulous dewy glow to my skin. Blended extremely well (I used my clean fingers for application). It has a slight scent just slight and it's not bad, well I don't mind it. It covered my little blemishes better than my current concealer (loreal infallible stick concealer). It was very moisturising which I loved and I couldn't even feel it on my skin!

I'm going to wear it all day tomorrow and I'll update on the staying power and how long it lasts once I have given it a full trial.

I really do like it and it's great for when you want a day of "no makeup" but still want to look polished.

I'll insert an image of the box and bottle,

Okay so I wore this on two separate days with some cream blush for a natural look. It went on perfectly and blended really well, it was very moisturising,  but as the day went on after 2-3 hours it got really patchy and horrible. As the day went on even more it got worse. On the normal parts of my face like cheeks it completely wore off, and on oily patches it went kinda slimy.(I know ew right?) And on the dry patches of my skin it clung like crazy and looked terrible. When I looked in the mirror and say my face I felt like I was a 10 year old girl just trying out makeup. I highly doubt I'm going to wear this again, it really didn't work for my combination skin.

I'm not saying to you not to buy it I'm just giving my opinion and if you have combination skin I wouldn't advise it. But if you want to go out and buy it and give it a try yourself but it doesn't work for me.

Eye-shadow Purchase

Hello all, sorry I haven't been posting I've been busy with college assignments and exams. But here's an update on my latest purchase.

I was online on Sunday night and decided to have a look on www.beautyemporium.ie to see if there was anything new.

I saw that they're having a sale at the moment.

I was looking through the palettes and one in articular really stood out to me.

That was the NYX Box of Eyeshadows.

There are 112 shades, all of them highly pigmented, they range from rich darks to bold brights, from sultry mattes to luminous silvers.

It was reduced from €42 to €25.

That's a great deal, €25 for 112 eyeshadows, that works out at €0.22 per eyeshadow. That's amazing!

It was shipped today so I should have it either tomorrow or Wednesday, oh and did I mention shipping is only €2?

I will update more when I get it and get to try it out.

But here are some pictures of it & the link. :)

http://beautyemporium.ie/index.php/make-up/palettes-kits/nyx-box-of-eyeshadows.html

I got my eyeshadow box last week. I haven't stopped using it since! I love it. I had never used NYX before and I have to say I was so surprised by it.

I mean the pigmentation of the colours are amazing!! I absolutely love it and I have used it every single day for the past 8 days. I'll stay using it.

I'm going to make a bold statement now and say in my opinion these are shadows are up there with Urban Decay! :O

I know brave right? But I would really reccomend it, but I have to say if it wasn't on sale I wouldn't have paid the high price for it as I'm only a student so I don't have a huge budget for makeup every month.

But I would reccomend it as all the colours that are in this are perfect for either a classic black smokey eye, or a crazy illuminous pink or green eye.

I'd reccomend anyone to buy this you'll never use it all up and even if this was the only selection of eyeshadows you had in your collection, you'd be set.

It's perfect to ask for, if you have a birthday or something coming up and you want to expand your makeup collection? Or maybe you're just starting out in makeup, either way this is perfect!

If you would like me to do swatches of the colours row by row feel free to comment below and I'll do them :)

Beauty Haul!

I ordered a few items from the internet over the past few days. I used http://www.debenhams.ie  and http://www.beautyemporium.ie/ . I didn't have to pay shipping on Debenhams, I think they have a promotion going on or something. I paid a flat rate charge of €2 on Beauty Emporium for my items. But if you spend €45 or more there you get free shipping. It's an Irish company based in Wexford so you know it's great to support Irish owned businesses and the Irish economy.

I really reccomend this website because they have alot of the makeup brands that there is a pretty high charge for shipping on. But €2 is amazing. They usually always have a sale on and the makeup when it's not on sale is pretty cheap anyway! Great for your purse and your makeup collection. They also do beauty tools, eyelashes, nail polishes and much more. Check them out it's really worth the look. And the most amazing thing is you have your items within 2 days of ordering them!  http://www.beautyemporium.ie/

My items were late from beauty emporium because their software shut down and they couldn't access anything to work on the orders. So they got in contact with me when it was back up and running and told me what had happened. They apologise and gave me 2 free items to show they were sorry. I think that's pretty amazing because not may other companies would do that. I had my items the next day.

So without further adieu here is my haul. :)

I'll start with Debenhams!

Yes I bought the NAKED PALETTE 2! By Urban Decay! I love it!! I always loved the naked palette 1 but the number 2 is AMAZING! It comes with a double ended brush (crease brush & flat shader). A mini lipjunkie lipgloss in the colour naked. It's now packaged in a tin case that securely closes and can be cleaned with a wet wipe. It has a huge mirror on the inside also. I defiantly prefer the packaging of the Naked 2 because it can't open in your bag like my original one did. And fluff doesn't stick to the outside of the case either.

The colours are amazing. All Urban Decay shadows are usually amazing quality but these are superb. And they are even better when you use them with the primer potion. Sadly one isn't supplied in the set like in the original naked palette. It's €40.50.

The colours are : Busted (deep brown – shimmer),  Blackout ( black - matte),  Pistol (light grey/brown - shimmer), Verve (oyster - shimmer), Booty Call (cork - shimmer), Foxy (creamy bisque - matte), Half Baked (golden bronze- shimmer), Chopper (copper with slight silver glitter - shimmer), Snake Bite (dark bronze – shimmer but also metallic base), Suspect (light golden beige- shimmer) Tease (creamy light brown- matte), YDK (cool bronze- shimmer but also metallic base)

The brush that comes with the pallet!

Crease end -------------------Flat Shader end!

That's just what it looks like inside.

A comparison between Naked 1 & Naked 2 shadow colours!

Mini lipjunkie lipgloss in the shade Naked.

Open.

Swatch of lipgloss

I really like this lipgloss. It's very minty and smooth. It's also sheer so the colour is buildable and it's extremely creamy. I will defiantly be buying this lipgloss full size.

Debenhams also included a sample of the new Ghost Whisper perfume for free! I will defiantly be purchasing that perfume full size! It smells amazing!

Beauty Emporium purchases!

The first thing I bought was a Sleek blush. Well 2 actually, one in the colour Coral & one in the colour Rose Gold. The blushes were €6 each. Which is very good for a blush and a blush of this quality. Because these blushes are extremely pigmented. A little bit really does go along way with these! And the packaging is very sleek smooth plastic that closes perfectly!

Rose Gold - Dupe for Nars Orgasm blush. Peachy pink colour with gold shimmer! Absolutely beautiful.

Coral - a beautiful coral colour perfect for these springtime trends!

Swatch of both blushes. Rose gold on bottom and Coral on top.

eos lipbalm - Strawberry Sorbet.
Love it, makes my lips very soft and doesn't sting like Carmex. €5.75

A bourjois eyeshadow set. (free item)

A teal green colour and a white sheer shimmer colour are in this set. It was a free item and I'm so happy it was because the shadows are terrible! There is barley any pigmentation. You really have to get alot of the green colour on your brush to even see it.

Here's a swatch.

As you can see very bad quality. You can barley make out the white colour.

Sleek lipgloss in the shade " in your dreams 738 " (free item)
I really don't like this lipgloss. The colour is strong but the lipgloss it's self is very thick and gloopy and extremely sticky! Once again I'm delighted I didn't have to pay for this or else I would be disgusted that I wasted my money on it. It's a lanyard too so it's very very small.

Open!

Swatch of the gloss.

All the items I bought!

All in all I'm very happy with the items I purchased and the sample of perfume but the free gloss and eyeshadows are terrible! And I wouldn't reccomend anyone to buy them. But I do reccomend the beauty emporium website and I will be purchasing from them in the near future again.

Recent purchases in Pennys!

I went to Pennys yesterday and picked up these items. All cheap and cheerful items. As we all know not everyone has the money to splash out on expensive clothes. So I got these items as I hope to get lots of wear out of them for Spring and Summer! :)

I bought, a pair of high waisted denim shorts €13, a pink polka dot top with tie off ends and a little peter pan collar €7, leopard print shoes €4, floral shoes €4, and leopard print gladiator sandals €7.

High waisted shorts can look amazing on any figure. Aslong as you remember 2 things! Wear them to fit you, not too big or too small, and wear them with confidence. Because if you don't wear them with confidence well they won't look the best because people will know you are uncomfortable in them. So rock those shorts. You wear the shorts don't allow them to wear you!

I love this top. At first I thought that with the cut it wouldn't flatter me much. But I was wrong this style is fabulous. It's a small fitting around the bust and much looser around the stomach area which is kinda annoying. It's just a little bit too light in my opinion. In our few days we get of an Irish summer I know I'll still have to wear a light top inside because Ireland just isn't hot enough to wear it on it's own. Just a light sleeveless string top will be perfect. But I love it and I'll defiantly be going back for it in the other designs available.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these sandals! Two buckles on the side to close them and it's slightly elasticated beside the buckle incase you have bigger ankles. Like wow I love them! €7 where can you go wrong with that? That's the reason I love Pennys! great value for money! If you went in with €20 and actually took your time to look around you could  get a complete outfit that is fabulous! I mean think about it, how far would €20 get you in River Island?

When I saw these shoes I knew I wanted them. I love this style shoe. I usually get them in white for €3 because they look great with skinny jeans. But these I loved! I have a slight obsession with leopard print as you'll come to learn. But these I love. Also the floral ones are so cute for spring time too. I just love these shoes. And for €4 I mean where can you go wrong?

So these are just a few things I bought yesterday, and I love them. Alot of the summer styles are in Pennys now. It's all brights and pastels for this spring and summer. And I couldn't be any happier. I love wearing pastels as they go great with my skin tone. Also I love the high waisted jeans and shorts look. I know I'm going to love the trends for this season.

Hope you enjoyed this blog :)
